Night before Easter

The night before Easter and all through the house - not a creature was stirring not even a bunny. All the Easter eggs (and rabbits) are wrapped, the baskets are out, hot cross buns haven't made an appearance this year as some people in this house don't like sultanas! (and I couldn't find the ones without!!!). The kids are eagerly awaiting to eat all the chocolate they can. They think that I only have homemade chocolates so they'll be surprised tomorrow - I can't wait to see their faces.

The hardest part this year was finding white eggs. It seems that brown chickens are better layers so there are not many white eggs for sale in the supermarkets. It is times like these when I wish I still had my chickens (We moved states so had to leave them behind). Anyway I "moved" some eggs around and managed to get really light brown ones before proceeding to the checkout. I will boil them tonight so that they are ready tomorrow. Family tradition is to decorate the eggs and then try breaking them with each other, after which you eat them for breakfast or brunch (if we sleep in).

As usual there is a mass exodus in town. Camping seems to be a big thing at Easter time. We don't go because we like our comfy beds and padded seats not to mention flushing toilets and hot showers. Yeah Yeah we are wuuses but someone has to be - can't all be tuffies!

It is has been a week and none of my plants have died - Yay!

I can't believe how much chillies cost in the supermarkets - $12.98 per kg! I have about 20 - 30 bushes growing at the moment. I could easily make $12.98!!!! (haha) I will be making more jewellery the next 2 days as they are actually selling. I am very impressed that people actually like something that I have made. I have gone out of my comfort zone to engage in producing jewellery to sell. I usually hate people looking at my artwork of any kind. I will take some photos and post them in next week's blog.

GOOD HEALTH AND GOOD TIDINGS WISHES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES TODAY.
Cheers
T
